I don't wear a ton of jewelry, and the jewelry I do wear is pretty simple. Think stud earrings, two rings, simple necklaces with a tiny charm on them [though right now, no necklaces since I don't want them broken by curious little hands]. After Emerson was born I was gifted a ring with his birthstone in it, when Oliver was born I suggested that a ring with his birthstone might be a nice little gift. But instead I was gifted something else [which I love]. Then the other day I was looking around and stumbled across these beauties. And now I need them. Forever and always.

two. more rings.
Years ago I started wearing a toe ring. I'm not sure how I came about to start wearing one, but I did. Feet are just kind of 'eh' and gross to me so I'm all for anything to help them not be so gross: nail polish, cute sandals, toe rings. A few years ago my favorite toe ring broke and I just haven't found one to replace it. Since the weather is kind of getting nicer [except not really] and I was thinking about being able to wear sandals soon, I also remembered my long lost toe ring. I saw this one and thought I might have to give it a try. Add a little something to my feet. Because, well. Feet. ugh.
If you've known me for long, it's probable that you know of my love of socks. I love them. I'm not sure what it is, but socks just make my feet happy [as long as I don't have to wear then when it's 97 degrees outside]. Maybe it's because socks cover feet and we all know how I feel about feet [see above]. But not just any socks will do. The socks have to be cute and have some personality. In the winter I like long, knee high socks - to help keep my feet and legs nice and toasty. But in the spring and summer when my legs need to breathe a little bit and the feet still need coverage? A nice little ankle sock is perfect. And naturally, plain, white, boring, athletic socks are just blah. The sock has to have some color and life to it. A print, a design, a shape. Something to make it happy. The other week I was at Old Navy and they were having a sale on socks - 5 for $5. Since most of my ankle socks from last spring and summer were worn out, I was quick to find five pairs.
four. chocolate chips.
Earlier this week Landon was out of town [but yay! he's home again!]. While I hate it when he is gone, I do love that I can eat brinner every single night if I want to. And that's just what we do. Cereal, oatmeal, and pancakes were our main meals this week. A way to make the pancakes even more special? Add chocolate chips. We never do this when he's home, but I always want to. I think I feel guilty adding them if he's around for some reason. Anyhow, he was gone, it was me and the boys, so in went the [dairy free] chocolate chips! My favorite kind of dinner right there.
